Events
Spaulding Education Fund hosts two fundraising events each school year.

In the fall, our Night of Stars Talent Show brings the entire community together to showcase amazing talent and raise funds through ticket sales and sponsorships.
In the spring, our Golden Hornets fundraiser allows students to recognize individual MERSD teachers, staff members and coaches for their contributions throughout the school year. Each Golden Hornet awarded by a student includes a donation to SEF.

The showcase is Spaulding Education Fund’s largest fundraiser of the year.
2024 Night of Stars sponsors included: Orthodontics of the North Shore, A. Lyons & Company, BoSoma Dance Company, Cell Signaling Technology, Inc., Dunkin' Donuts of Essex/the Serpa Family, Grand Banks Building Products, Red Barn Architecture, Boyd Builders, Kelly Jeep Chrysler, Mayer Tree Service, Amy Kingman Consulting, Arjuna Capital, Bonaccorso & Associates, Cape Ann Savings Bank, LandVest, Shell RKPT, Skintensive, The James Pub and Provisions, Michelle James Salon, Pediatric Health Care Associates, and Wenham Sports Stop.

Each spring, Spaulding Education Fund delivers hundreds of Golden Hornet awards to teachers, coaches and staff in the Manchester Essex Regional School District. This fundraiser allows local families to dedicate a Golden Hornet award to someone who has made a difference in their student’s school year. Honorees come from all four public schools, the district's administration team, and the athletics department.

When a student awards a Golden Hornet, they make a $10 donation to Spaulding Education Fund. Their Golden Hornet recipient receives a golden hornet pin, a dedication badge, and a certificate reflecting their words of gratitude.
